Journal Entry:
Entry 1: I had to wake up bright and early on a Saturday, which was really hard for me. Waking up at 6 every day for school is already so exhausting, but it was the time my Dad had to go in for work. We went to one of his offices in Sacramento, I had to send out “work orders” and emails. (of course with the help of my dad) it was very confusing at first but by the 2nd hour, I got the hang of it.
Entry 2: it was day two of helping my dad, this time it was more stressful since I had to be there a little longer than the last time, and it did get very boring. I helped send out emails to coworkers and met one of his coworkers.
Entry 3: I helped organize around the office, there were piles of papers that had to be sorted out by category, I decided to label the piles so it would be easier to find everything.
Entry 4: This was the last day I went help my Dad, At first he made me organize a pile of papers (which was really boring) but then told me I was able to send out emails and work orders which is much more interesting.
Closing Remark/Report : After spending time at my dads work office I picked up some skills when it comes to organizing. personally I feel like being organized helps out with time management and skills in general, I enjoyed working on sending emails and job orders the most. I wouldn´t say I would do this again, but I´m glad I got to experience a different work space.
